A Guided Sitting Meditation gives instructions for using the breath as a focus of awareness for your meditation practice.

The Body Scan takes you on a journey of awareness through your body in which the various body sensations are the focus of attention.

Mindful Yoga includes a sequence of simple body stretches that can bring more ease to your pregnant body. They can be done anytime you can take a few minutes to practice.

Walking Meditation gives instructions for formal walking meditation as well as suggestions for how to use walking practice informally in daily life.

Guided Lovingkindness Meditation is a mind-body-heart practice for cultivating kindness, friendliness and well-wishing for your baby, yourself and others.

Being with Baby Meditation gives simple instructions for being with the sensations you experience when the baby moves during your day (and sometime night!), and how those movements can be a reminder to come back to the present moment.

Silent Meditations include several pre-set silent meditations of varying length with bells. The bells begin your practice, help you keep focused during your practice and ring when your practice time is over.

Personalized Meditations let you design your own meditations, including the length of time for practice, a guided beginning to your practice or bells at various intevals during your meditation.

I like that this app has the ability to create your own meditations and has bells that you can add at your own intervals, and that it can start with a guided meditation. I also like the womans voice - I find it rather soothing.

I use this often to guide my meditation. Love the speakers voice and choice of words. Wish there were more guided meditations to choose from!
Great app for pregnancy
Im 8 months pregnant and stumbled on the book Mindful Birthing, to which this app is a companion. As a longtime resistant, frustrated meditator, although also as an aspiring one, I find the book, along with this app to be the best resources to overcoming my blocks to meditation. The guided meditations are soothing and flexible, I appreciate the personalized meditation capability. Im also very much hoping to avoid pain medications/epidural during labor, and I find that the practices in this app and the book increase my confidence that I can handle the inevitable pain. Id give the app 5 strs, except that in the silent meditation section, the 7-minute guided start doesnt work. No matter how many times I slide the button to "on" when I click begin, only the silent meditation (with bells that signal beginning end) plays. As someone who likes a little guidance before Im dropped of into the inevitable monkey mind silent time, this is frustrating and I hope its something that can be fixed soon in an update.
Great app!
Ive just started reading Mindful Birthing and I got this app to help me get into meditation because I cant afford to go to classes, etc. Ive really enjoyed using the app, both the guided meditations and the silent timed meditations with bells. This is exactly what I wanted and I agree with an earlier commenter that the womans voice on the app is very soothing.
Great app to accompany a great book!
Love the book Mindful Birthing and thought this app was a solid companion to it. Highly recommend.
